We would like to thank everyone for their patience last year while we implemented the new scanning system. Although the lines were long and it was a hot day, the system proved to be a huge success. At the end of the season we only lost 2 sets of equipment. Considering we had almost 650 players, that is an incredilbe result. This year, we can assure you it will be a much more pleasant experience. We will be in the air conditioned facility at Skatetown. We will have 5 stations checking equipment in. There will be food and refreshments available. All and all it should go smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements
1. $40 fundraiser fee - player will not receive equipment unless the fee is paid.
2. Proof of residency - we have experienced people registering their children with no intentions of playing Tomahawk ball. After receiving their equipment, it is discovered that the information given is all falsely stated. "We had one family living at Wendy's last year." It has become known that the Tomahawks fees are substantially lower than purchasing your own equipment and playing for a rival organization. This year we have implemented a bar coding system to track all equipment signed out and signed back in to each player. A responsible adult will be required to prove their residence and sign a form stating they are financially responsible for the equipment. Not only the return of the equipment, but the care of it as well. We are one of the largest youth football organizations in the country, we have a lot of equipment to keep track of. We are in hopes that better management of the inventory and making families accountable will allow us to remain one of the best youth sport values in the area.
3. NO PARENT is to enter the roped equipment area.
Other things to consider on equipment handout day:
Our own Dr. Hill will be on site doing player's physicals. The fee is $10. Less than most people's insurance co-pays.
Spirit Wear - as always, we will have a full selection of Tomahawk's Spirit wear.
Each family will receive a FREE Tomahawk window decal
Each player will receive a FREE Tomahawk T-shirt
Each player will receive 10 discount cards to sell. This money is yours to keep. If all cards are sold, (A value at $5), you basically pay $80 to play. The player's personalized jersey alone cost close to $50.
Athletic gear and wear - Kattus Pro Team Sports will have on hand and will be taking orders on specially priced athletic gear. See attached form for items that will be on sale.
