Football Player of Week - Week 2

Bantam

Team 8 - Red

Major Curtley

Major is small but mighty. He really brings the punch out on the field. He is always determined at practice and makes his teammates better. This weekend Major had some great carries on offense where he read the defense well for large gains. His blocking helped his teammates to also acquire large gains on offense. Multiple solo tackles on defense were also made by Major. We are eager to see him continue to do great work on both sides of the ball. Go Major!

Team 17 - Black

Jackson is really stepping up to be a leader on the black squad. After a broken arm last year he has came back with a vengence this year. A weapon on both offense and defense he is an all around player.

Archie Schlensker

Archie delivered an outstanding performance in Sunday's game, showcasing his versatility and determination on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he played multiple positions and made a highlight-reel 20-yard diving catch from the slot receiver position. Defensively, he helped contain the edge, demonstrating strong discipline and physicality. Archie’s grit and restless work ethic throughout the week makes him a key contributor to our team’s success!

Team 32 - Black

Janson led the team in solo tackles with 5. With multiple tackles for a loss of yards. He was an essential part in our win over West Carrollton.

Team X - Red

Tyler Mercado has always been an outstanding athlete. Everything was above and beyond in this game. Not only can he tackle, run, and catch the ball... but can kick a 26 yard field goal that could've possibly went for 35 for a game winning field goal. Congrats Ty.

Kamden Lanzarotta

This week’s Player of the Week goes to Kamden Lanzarotta, who showed outstanding toughness, resilience, and leadership.. Despite suffering a collarbone injury during practice that sent him to the ER, Kamden toughed it out and played nearly every down of the game several days later. His effort was marked by several key blocks and big tackles that helped set the tone for the team. Beyond his physical contributions, Kamden’s positive attitude and leadership on the field lifted his teammates and demonstrated what it truly means to put the team first. His grit and determination are an inspiration to everyone around him, making him a well-deserving Player of the Week.
